During the summer, the water solution in the pipes absorbs the excess heat in your home and takes it back to the ground. This system does not burn fuel to create warmth but simply moves heat from one point to the next. You can install this system in your new construction and during remodeling of your existing home. Retrofitting you home with a geothermal cooling system could cost $10,000 to $30,000 depending on soil conditions in your area.

These systems will work even better when you install energy efficient windows in your home. If you are completing a new construction, you may also choose passive cooling so that your entire home can work as its own cooling system.
