Custom Home, Post and Beam- Derry, NH
We built this beautiful green home in Running Brook Farm in Derry, NH last summer. The home consists of 4 bedrooms, 3 baths and contains 4426 square feet of living area. We built a custom Timberpeg timber frame vaulted Great room within the home. Our exterior wall assembly contains dense-packed recycled cellulose and Poly-iso foam wrapping the exterior giving us an R-value of 33. The roof has cellulose as well and will be an R-49. The basement walls and slabs have R-24 foam insulation. We used casement windows that have an R-5 or a U-value of .20 for better thermal performance. The home is heated and cooled with a geothermal water to air system with a COP of 4.2. We used local and recycled materials where we could in the home and will also used a durable and recyclable cement siding. The Ridgeview standards of low-VOC paints and finishes, water saving toilets and fixtures and Energy Star lighting and appliances are included.
