We started working with these clients by listening to their needs and helping them navigate the numerous parcels of land available, pointing out the positive aspects and potential pitfalls of each.  We eventually landed on a beautiful piece of open land in Auburn by the Audubon Center.  This thoughtful, passive solar design fits all of the clients needs into a 1788 sqft house that contains 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, mudroom, laundry room office and an over-sized 2-car garage.  The additional features of this home include  custom built-in cabinetry, Craftsman-style with stone veneer and granite entry and a beautiful screen porch to enjoy the seasons.

We employed closed cell sprayfoam, dense-packed cellulose and an exterior shell wrapped in XPS rigid foam in one of our tightest insulation assemblies to date.  The home will be heated and cooled via a 3-ton Geothermal system and we expect a very low HERS rating for this home.
